What the ever-living fuck was that? No. Really. What the fuck was that?

I'm going to leave aside the very hot potato that is the fact that they have, once again, killed off the woman and the black guy. I'm not not touching it with a ten foot pole, except to say that I am uncomfortable as hell.

They just killed off the only secondary characters I actually liked. I liked Gwen. I liked Rufus. I liked, er, well, I like Mitch Peleggi, and I was curious about where they were going with Samuel. Apparently that was nowhere.

All dead. What the hell?

I said I wasn't going to touch the hot potato, so I'll just say that I'm mostly puzzled over why they killed Samuel. What the hell was the point? I mean, I kinda got the feeling that the writers got tired of the Campbells not long after introducing them, but I thought they had something in mind for Samuel. But... nothing. Complete anti-climax. I just. Um.

After a few minutes' thought, I feel like I should clarify. Because I liked the episode. I liked the story, and I liked the execution of the story, and I really liked the way the boys seemed more in sync than they have in a long time. I liked the episode. But I was made very uncomfortable by elements of the episode, and I think the fact that I liked it made it even more uncomfortable, if you know what I mean. I dunno, I don't want it to seem like I hated. Because I didn't. I just. Am very confused.
